You may not be able to hike every weekend, but what you can do when not hiking is build the strength, control, balance and flexibility that is absolutely essential for quality hiking and injury prevention. Join Daniela Liscio for our Yoga for Hikers Workshop that will lead you through a full practice that specifically incorporates movements and postures to address hikers’ most common ailments. These ailments can range from backpackers knee, IT band issues, low back issues, upper back and neck issues. You will also evaluate and dissect those postures along with modifications, and learn how to design a home practice unique to your needs to take through hiking season and beyond. If time allows, we will also address sports nutrition principles directly applicable to the trail. Come ready to sweat, ready to learn and ready to have a great time! The cost for this workshop is $20 and pre-registration is preferred, but not required. You will need a yoga mat, water and appropriate clothing.
