This is a great beginning cave exploration trip. We will head down to Arkansas early in the morning and spend several hours in the cave. The cave itself has large rooms and you will be able to walk around most of the time. There are a couple of areas that will require some leaning over and possibly crawling. There will be no rope work or rappelling required. We will have some extra helmets to loan out, but everyone will need some good clothing that you can get wet and muddy, a headlamp, good boots and a helmet. I would also recommend extra batteries and a secondary light source. Due obvious reasons, we will will have a limit of 14 that can attend this event. Starting May 1, you can RSVP and hold your spot. If we get more than 14, we will start a waiting list for cancellations. This will be a good event and give everyone a chance to explore the underground world.

Mount Pisco at 5,752 meters, (18,897 feet), is probably one of the best preparation climbing expeditions before attempting to climb higher mountains in the Andes or Himalaya. Mount Pisco, while beautiful, is a fairly straight forward climb, without exposing the climber to difficult and technical climbing, thus allowing novice climbers the opportunity to be exposed to a great experience on a big beautiful mountain.
The highlight of any Iceland trip is the backpacking trip along the”Laugavegurinn”, or “The Hot Spring Route”. The trail “Laugavegurinn” is one of the most popular backpacking trails in the Icelandic wilderness and the world. This trail is equally popular with domestic and foreign hikers and this popularity is not without a reason, as the trail offers a great variety of landscapes, ranging from mountains in almost every color of the rainbow, glaciers, roaring hot springs, waterfalls, big rivers, and even glacier lakes. The “Langavegurinn” does not disappoint and continually lives up to all our expectations. We have always been left speechless from the color, mystique, and rugged beauty of Iceland.

Alpamayo, (Nevado Alpamayo,) is one of the most conspicuous peaks in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range of the Peruvian Andes, standing at 5,947 meters (19,511 feet). Alpamayo is a steep, (sixty degrees), almost perfect pyramid of ice and is one of a number of peaks that compose the Santa Cruz Massif, the northernmost massif of the Cordillera Blanca. While smaller than many of its neighboring peaks, it is distinguished by its unusual formation and overwhelming beauty. Alpamayo has two sharp summits, a North and a South summit, separated by a narrow corniced ridge.

Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, Africa, is a mountain of legend, as it is highest free standing mountain in the world, is considered “The Crown of Africa” and is one of the world’s Seven Summits. At 19,330 feet, Kilimanjaro is the highest point on the African Continent and provides everything from fertile green foothills, to Moorlands, Alpine Deserts, and snow covered peaks. One cannot help but be overcome with a real sense of awe, as the clouds clear to reveal a glimpse of the towering peaks, shining bright in the African sun.
