Preventing Blisters

  • Purchase boots that allow your feet to swell and break your boots in before using on the trail
  • Wear merino wool socks and/or sock liners, that wick moisture away from your feet
  • Reduce friction by using Sportstick, Body Glide or Gold Bond on your feet
  • Treat hotspots immediately with moleskin, band-aids or duct tape
  • Change socks regularly if in a hot and humid environment
