Centerpoint Trail

The Centerpoint Trail allows access not only to Big Bluff and the Goat Trail, but to several other trails including the Old River Trail and the Buffalo River Trail.  This trail travels from the trailhead down into the canyons of the Buffalo River and Sneeds Creek.  Along the way, you can take a side trail 2.7 miles from the trailhead down to Big Bluff via the Goat Trail.  The Goat Trail is narrow and dangerous, so use extreme caution.  This 1/2 mile saide trail travels along Big Bluff and at time is on the edge, with a 400 foot drop below into the Buffalo River.  The view is amazing however, but use CAUTION.

Once back on the Centerpoint Trail, continue traveling down to the Buffalo River and check out Granny Henderson’s Cabin along the way.  This was the last homestead in the Buffalo River area and is very historical.  Once at the river, you can access several other trails including the Sneeds Creek Trail, the Old River Trail and the Compton Loop trail and even work your way over to Hemmed in Hollow Falls and back.  This is a fun, trail with amazing views and a couple of nice hills to climb up on the way back to your vehicle.
