About Us

Hiking the Ozarks

The area of Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas, commonly referred to as “The Ozarks”, is an area of land that covers some 47,000 square miles. This area is by far the most extensive mountainous region between the Appalachian and the Rocky Mountains. This expansive area is known for its limestone bluffs, steep terrain, crystal clear streams, numerous caves and heavily forested areas. These features make this area a “Mecca” for outdoor activities and adventure.

Hiking the Ozarks was created and is dedicated to the personal growth and enjoyment of everyone who enjoys the outdoors.  Our goal is to bring like-minded outdoor enthusiasts together and to educate in all areas of the outdoors, which include, but are not limited to the disciplines of backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, trekking, mountaineering and orienteering.  We also use, test and strive to provide the best gear and trail reviews and will continue to improve upon our legacy for the future.

Sponsors and Community Clubs

Working closely with our affiliates allows Hiking the Ozarks to sponsor Ozarks Mountain Trailblazers. I would say an additional few sentences tying these two programs together and how they support the overall good for the Ozarks rec area.
